January 19, 201511 yr I have a bit of a problem. My 30-day consideration period ends on the day I need to leave the country on a flight that I cannot change. What's worse, is that I need to take an internal flight to catch my international flight which means time is of the essence. I know already that I'm a jackass for waiting too long and then some of the papers weren't in order. But if I may ask. . . assuming my extension is granted, how long of a process is it to get the new stamp at immigration? In thaivisa members' experience, assuming I'm first in line at 8:30am, how long should I expect the process to take? I know there may be circumstances beyond anyone's control, but I'd just like to get an idea. Thanks in advance for any input.
January 19, 201511 yr You could check with your immigration office a few days before the report back date to see if it has been approved.
January 20, 201511 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I do plan to go in and check the day before on the off-chance it's ready. Does anyone know of someone who managed to pick up their extension before the report-back date?
January 20, 201511 yr I have gotten my extension stamp done early. There is no rule saying you cannot do it early.
January 21, 201511 yr Author That's great ubonjoe, thanks for the response. I imagine the approval arrives well before the deadline date, but maybe it's not good to make assumptions. We'll see.
