Good night for Spurs in my home town Sydney.1-0 against Sydney FC whose season ended a couple of weeks ago. That man Kane again.

71,549 in the Olympic Stadium, so not quite capacity but getting close.Old team mate just text me said enjoyable game and what you would expect from a friendly.

Helped by the win by Australia against South Korea, in the Asian Cup, the round ball game is really on a roll back home in fact more registered players than the other codes R.League, Union and AFL put together.

Highlight was a guy in an Arsenal shirt being escorted from the crowd.........bit draconian !

All we need is a World Cup to top it off !

I would imagine all that laughing was probably a bit irritating to the tiny totts travelling faithful.

Gone backwards, what are you on about ? we've only signed one player so far !!!

How do you know that we won't make 3 or 4 signings that we will make a difference ? perhaps they have bought Wimmer because they don't have any young centre halfs ready for the squad !

what I meant alfie was in the recent ish past we seem to going bac to the days when we were buying more players that are squad fillers than absolutely 100 % will be first team game changing players. hugo being the exception but since then ? not many if any.

I guess his mum loves him!

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has led fans in an expletive-laden chant during the club's FA Cup victory celebrations.

The 23-year-old took to the microphone in front of thousands of fans outside the club's Emirates Stadium, mocking Premier League rivals Tottenham.

The papers must have nothing to print is they're getting that excited about such a trivial story.

What did they think he would do, congratulate Tottenham on qualifying for the Europa League and wish them every success for next season?

Yep absolutely. Its going to be PSG i'd have thought.

Looks like DeGea to Real Madrid is done and to no ones surprise, so it will be interesting to see whether United were covering themselves in the same way we did with Vorm or whether they might enter into a bidding war for Lloris. Levy will love that.

luv the ' gentlemens agreement' bit. and he's 'hapi 'he can talk to levy that'll mean f all when the chips are down, still its probably a smarter move saying bout it now as opposed to what modric did and moaned after the event and came a x as a whiney brat !!!

I have no idea about that post Alfie but on the subject of Lloris, its almost inconceivable to think we'll keep him. And i can't blame him wanting to move on. He's been professional in his attitude, not caused any problems, Lord know-how many points he won us. Now its time to move on.

So, he understandably wants to play in the CL. Secondly, Levy knows he can get top dollar with Vorm already settled in at the club as back up. He also knows that the likes of PSG and Man Utd will pay over the odds. They nearly always do.

modric always claimed there was a gentlemans agreement that allowed him to leave that levy didnt stick to

Modic's behaviour was disgraceful. As was Bale's towards the end of a saga.

Modris bleating on about a gentlemen agreement was the biggest load of cock'n' bull i've ever heard. its a business situation offs. Whats agreed goes down on paper, signed by both parties.

yeah I dont disagree get it down on paper but funny hugo is now saying the same as modric but praising his relationship with levy as opposed to modric slating it. yet imo it won't work. when it comes down to the nitty gritty of a transfer he'signed.

a deal with no release clause as did

modric no matter whats 'said' in private its naive to think anything but the signed paper will count

Frankly if a player wants to go, ultimately they will do just that. The likes of Modric, Bale, Mascerano (can't spell his name) all went on strike.

I wasn't expecting us to keep Lloris without CL football but atleast were in a position to sell high. Very high if its PSG or Man utd by way of appeasing their fans due to the sale of De Gea.

What interest me is the final sale prices for Lloris and De Gea if their transfers actually come to fruition.

yeah your right if a player wants to go he'll go but the good thing about the hugo 'deal '

atm effectively the club are in the commanding position of the negotiation unlike the sterling situation where Liverpool

have basically <deleted> up and put the control and ball firmly into sterlings court

I think we view this from opposite ends. We are in a strong position with our keeper but its been proven time and again in recent seasons a contract been nought if a player is that determined to leave and the ongoing sagas will only go to undermine the dressing room. Remember that scumbag Campbell!!!

Liverpool position is very strong and i feel the total opposite to you. Why? Because Sterling has become such a divisive toxic individual fans will rally around the club. The stupid little twot and his "vile" talking agent will find themselves isolated unless Man City/RM come in with a silly offer. And realistically theres no one else but although he's a walk in at Citeh, he's little or no chance of being anything other than a bench warmer at RM and it might be worth reminding him or the calibre of the RM bench, graced by the likes of Isco. He just ain't ready.

My only concerns would be with the competence of the LFC negotiators to handle it. Perhaps they should hire dale Levy's services to give Aidy Ward a lesson into the murky underhand world of football transfers!!!!

Anyways, back to Hugo. I reckon we'll do alright out of that one. Fingers crossed and if we do get a kings ransom it will hopefully release funds for us to plug some gaps with proven quality as opposed to ?cheap ones for the future"

agreed.ultimatly players leave if they want but modric had a lengthy contract. he was told he

had to stay an extra season and wouldnt be let go to a rival club in this country and the wait reportedly didnt harm the club finacially that was done because of the of contract levy got him to

sign early ie.the balance of the negotiation was in our favour liverpool cos they've <deleted> up and not done a deal early and he's entering.into his last 24 mnts have lost that edge, he aint gonna sign and if he stays from now on his

price will start to drop. and liverpool now have started to put the blame on sterling and his agent for their bad call.

'toxic speak' i aint heard anything thats toxic from sterling or his agent. from bleating livepool fans yes, cos another world stager wants out and the gutter press yeah, but from sterling no, just he wont sign a contract for liverpool and his agent says no matter what moneys on the table.. sort of comendable in a way. meaning to sterlingb its about winning stuff and the challenge not just the money or u see it as other?.

speak to players and they love this situ, its their dream scenario what they all aspire to, not 'unsettling' them, for most at that level they.all are used to moving on,,sterling moved in his v early years from qpr its part of their business they're used to it.

bac to hugo atm we can within reason dictate the how much, and possibly. to whom, sterling.,,.nah begining of the end..the power in negotiation is slowly but surely starting to slip out of liverpools hands.
