No good, chief, just telling them.

Catch some of them taking bribes, punish them and then what you say will be heard by the others.

Unfortunately, bribery and corruption has been flourishing for many years in the RTP.

Fortunately, the new government is here to change things, and they will.

Give them time.......

Exactly Costas. As Emperor Qing said.....kill one, frighten a thousand.

Pay them a decent wage and then this would'nt be happening. How is a young policeman expected to live on Bht8000 per month and no police housing. The whole situation is ludicrous to say the least. Pay them a decent wage and they will value their jobs, the riff raff will quickly fall by the wayside and Thailand might just get a decent police force.

Couldn't agree more - especially in Pattaya or Bangkok where young girls are raking in several times that amount a month for a "night shift"! And with the minimum of training too!

The problem is not catching these people, they get caught every day, it is what they do to them when they do catch them, NOTHING ,for example, a person steals money from a tourist, gets caught, gets 500 baht fine, and pays it out of the money he just stole, They get caught every day, but they know it is a little slap on the wrist then back out again, Try getting tough, maybe that might help.

It wouldn't stop them if you paid them 1 million Baht a month they would still want 1 million and 1, it is rooted here and most other places if allowed to go unpunished. Thailand is by no means on its own, it just doesn't really hide it as well as countries like the UK.

Speaking of young, how did a guy that young get to his position. Lucky to have the brother he has.

Let's just first give the man a chance to see if his words will turn into action before judging him. It will soon be seen what he's made of.

Exactly ... it's like telling a woman not to look for a husband, or a wolf not to eat sheep ... ludicrous until wages are commenserate with responsiblity and risks . . .
