January 31, 201511 yr Hi all, having some problems understanding the 3 entry thai visa. Here's my issue, I'm flying in to Thailand on April 1st using the 3 entry visa, stay for upto 60 days, fly to Myanmar for two weeks, return to Thailand activating my 2nd entry and stay for again upto the 60 day max allowed. Then I will then travel through Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Here's my problem I don't think I will be back in Thailand before my 3rd entry and visa expires as I plan to stay in Cambodia for an extended period of time. Can I get back into Thailand if my visa expires whilst I'm out of the country in Cambodia. I'm not restricted by a return flight home as have a multi flex ticket. Any help would be so much appreciated as I'm reading so much contrasting and confusing things all over the Web.
January 31, 201511 yr You would not have a problem re-entering the country if you don't make it back before you visa expires if you are from a country that can get a visa exempt entry. You would get a 30 day entry by air or 15 days by land unless you are from a G7 country that gets 30 days.
January 31, 201511 yr You must make the final entry before the use by date on the visa. Apply for it as late as possible to allow the longest use by date. Each of the 3 entries can be extended at Immigration by 30 days if you wish. As Joe said, you can return and get 30/15 days if your Visa has expired.
January 31, 201511 yr Author Thanks for your replys. So do you think I'd be better off just getting 2 entry visas if I'm unsure when I would be returning back into Thailand. And just get a visa from Cambodia when Im ready to return back in to Thailand?
