Re-entry permit for my 90-day Non-B visa with a single entry

Featured Replies

Hello!

I've just got a 90-day Non-B visa with a single entry in Vientiane but

I'm going to fly back home next month for 2 weeks. I'm now applying

for a work permit and then for a 1-year extension to my visa.

I didn't apply for a Non-B visa with multiple entries just because it

costs you as much as 5,000B. This is way too much.

Can I get a re-entry permit for the visa that I've got on me now or

will I have to wait to do so till I've made the 1 year extension? I'll

still have one month left in my visa when I come back here from

home.

Do they issue a single re-entry or a double (multiple) entries, how

much are they and how long will it take?

Thank you for your time in advance.

Re Entry Permits are usually issued while you wait.

Single 1,000 Baht.

Multi 3,800 Baht.

Valid for the length of your current permission to stay.

Single re-entry permit 1000, multiple re -entry 3800

Apply at the local immigration office or at either of the two Airports in Bkk on departure

Hello!

Can I ask you one more questions about this?

Can I get a re-entry permit at one of the land borders?

Thank you.

There are re-entry permit offices at some border crossings.

It would be best to get your re-entry permit at an immigration office if leaving overland.

Hello Joe!

I'm going through one of the Thai-Malaysian land borders (Sadao - Bukit Kayu Hitam)

on Saturday by mini-van or coach so I should get a re-entry permit in advance, as you

suggested. I don't know if they will issue one to me there or how long it will take if they

should and I don't think the drivers will wait for me to come back on board from the office.

Thank you for your advice as always!

I am not sure which crossings have a re-entry permit desk or what hours they are open is the problem.

For your upcoming trip it would certainly be best to get it at your local immigration office.
