What Gives In Phnom Penh?

Featured Replies

I checked the visa procedure pin at the top of this page and it is apparently way out of date. Lucky Lucky Motorcycle just told me and confirmed by other travel agents a Thai visa from the P.P. embassy now requires a flight out. Wow times are changing! Used to be dead easy, now it is nothing but jumping through hoops.

Probably no new reports for getting a visa in PP. Some get mixed into other topics and don't get posted.

The ticket out is something new that had not been confirmed.

PP has been on my don't go there for a visa list for some time.

Try Mr Keo his shop name is 'LMN Travel' and it's right next door to the large Paddy Rice Pub on the river side, he knows all the ins and outs.

The Embassy is a dump, avoid it at all costs. Use an agent like the above one. Last time I did one it took 1 day when it generally took 3-4 days direct

There was no flight needed back then but I'd check with this guy anyway, he will know exactly what the situation is.

Been there two weeks ago, one of the gates were under renovation and the usually open "Waiting Room" closed.

People were writing at the table on the roadside.

In Phnom Penh use a agent, for the ticket out I think you can show them a booking.....

I used him twice and pretty recently, he was professional and took care of everything without the need for a flight out as well.

I was there 3 weeks ago. I used some travel agent by the river and i did not get touristvisa. Embassy has told the travel agent that i have to apply myself because i have so many thai stamps. I did not have time to play their games and i came with 30 day stamp and next weekend i am most likely flying to vientiane to get visa.

Booking outside of thailand is needed and it was made by travel agent but like i said in my case it was not enough.

Reason could be many all kind of thaistamps/visas i have in my passport but it i can be also because travel agent did not know how to apply correctly. I saw the application form they used when i got back my passport. Travel agent made me married and working and neither of these details were correct. One thing is for sure. This was last time i use some middle man for visa..

I guess this is what happens when you use a crappy agent.

Using the correct agent who knows 'the score' and pays the fees on your behalf gets results.
