Foozool Posted February 3, 2015 Share Posted February 3, 2015 I'm going to apply for retirement visa in Thailand after spending some time in Thailand. Do I need to obtain "Police verification" in US before I fly to Thailand ? Or is there anyway I can get it while I'm staying in Thailand without going back to US ? Thanks in advance. ubonjoe Posted February 3, 2015 Share Posted February 3, 2015 You do not need a police background check to apply for an extension of stay (it is not a visa) at immigration here. Nor do you need a medical certificate. Those are only required to apply for a OA visa at an embassy or official consulate, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
