hi guys,

i see alot of serious topics here about the visa run i know its not 100% related to this forum as it is not about the visa 100% but i thought it would be nice for people maybe hearing/telling stories about their visa run trip from time to time.

so to start i was on a double entry tourist visa and wanted an ED so had to go and do the non imm one.

i got the papers ready from my school in chiang mai which i am living in.

and as always i decided to do it in laos viantiene.

so i book a go and come back ticket with aya service in chiang mai imo they are good company nice minivan and just take you with a free shuttle to the embassy.

the price is 1,500 baht btw they have a nice office with free wifi coffee and some nice restaurant and 7/11 nearby.

anyways after getting my visa to laos for 1,300 baht ( most payed 1,800 baht i guess it depends on the nationality but im from israel dont know what is special about that)

after doing all the process of giving the papers passport and payment which was pleasently not long, i decided that compared to last time of me staying in a GH near the embassy and spending all the day in the room i will try something else.

so i took the tuktuk to the area called river side. go to a nice hotel called sunshine hotel.

got the nice room for 1,000 bht big tv screen big fridge nice and big double bed big toilet and shower clean room etc.

ofc you could get for cheaper but i just wanted to spoil myself this time.

anyways just infront of the hotel there was a nice restaurant near the mae kong river.

i ate spicy beef pieces some french fries and squid tampura + coke for 200 baht pretty cheap for me i guess.

anyways after going back to my hotel shower and sleep after the long day and a half i woke up and decided ill go out lil bit.

the restaurant in the morning is closed now and instead on the roof there were tables with waitresses people and a live band playing.

the time btw was like 20:30 as the places in laos get shut down pretty early.

i took the stairs up and sat on a table, i was a bit shy as most people looked at me probably because i was the only flank there.

so i ordered some food (fried rice sea food which btw bigger the the dish they give you in thailand and for half the price), and some of that beer lao which is also cheap and pretty good also.

after about 40 minute finished my food and my first beer and invited another one.

i thought that after i finish that beer i just call it the day as i was still tired from before.

and then i saw that you can give songs to the band and they sing for ya. so i just called the waittress talk to her some thai/lao mix gave her the name of the song (i like isaan songs so they know most of them) and gave her tip to give the band like 30,000 kip or something like that didnt even know if it was much just seemed ok).

so he sang my song and probably said that i was flank asking for that song, everyone looked at me like i was liam nissan or something like that celebrity, they smiled and started laughing one table which i over heard just said how the hell this flank know this songs.

i was abit shy but i enjoyed the song that i wanted to hear.

on my right side there was a table with 3 girls and 1 man. (btw the laosian girls are very beautiful dare i say more then the thai girls and also know pretty good english compared to the thais)

also i forgot to mention the restaurant is on the roof of the building watching and viewing the mae kong river its not hot and have good wind so its nice.

the girls were smiling but i didnt pay too much attention or looked as i was shy.

after few minutes the waitress came with a beer, i told her that i didnt ordered it.

she then said to me in thai, this girl invited you.

i was shocked and thanked her with a smile then she smiled back.

btw if to be honest i dont think something like that would most likely happen to me in thailand with a thai lady as they only seem to want the man to invite them and to hit on with them first like having you to do the first move.

so after a while they invited me to sit with them on the table drink beer do cheers etc. it was nice as i know little bit from the language so the conversation was also good.

then the girl who invited for me the beer started the touching and what not but i stayed cool.

after the place shut down she insisted and didnt let me pay on anything and said if i want to go to another place that stays open until 2 in the morning and that she have car so its not a problem.

we went there drank some more beer dancing etc.

after that we went on to take back her friends to their homes and she asked if i want her to come with me to the hotel.

frankly i dont like to pay for sex and i never agree if someone mention money not that im cheap its just that i just dont pay for sex not even in my country if she had asked i would turn her down politly.

anyways i said ok and we went on to the hotel and had some "fun" time in the room.

she didnt ask for any money but im also not sure if she was a working girl as i heard in laos its not forward same in thai you just see beautiful ladies go out with her friends drinking and having fun and if you go to them and talk and invite them to a beer then it starts but not like in thai where they actually throw themselves at you so you will take their service, so in laos its more modest and discreet.

anyway i had to live in the morning and so did she i bid her farewell and she gave me her line and whats app + phone telling me to contact her when im back to laos.

were talking few days every week now just general things she didnt ask for money yet i dont really know what her motives are but im not innocent either.

either way if she was a working girl or not i just wanted to show and tell you it is nice And possiable to have good time from that one day that you have between the come and go back visa run days.

You know that sleeping with a Lao girl you are not married to is illegal. $5,000 fine (not baht... But dollars) and they can actually jail you. I am not judging what you did as I don't care..... But were you aware of this? Seems like risky business to me.

i knew that and in some places it says so only if it is in public or something along those lines, if its in private in your room/apartment or something like that no one have interest in this including to the police.

Well.... It is illegal almost everywhere to have sex in public... Lol..... So, yeah. But it is also illegal to do so everywhere in Laos if you are not married to the girl (even in a hotel). With plenty of cops making roughly 4,000 baht a month, plenty do care enough to come after you for a pay off. It happens more often then you might think. Some people have reported having their passports confiscated and having to pay usually high sums of money to get it back. Because they can legally demand $5,000.....so sometimes a bribe can still be half that.

Just thought it was worth mentioning.

well im not saying that your wrong but lets say im do having sex with a lao girl in my hotel how can the police come and prove that i really did sex with her? its in the room it sounds stupid but if the police just comes knocking the door and not breaking it and catching me right up on the act i can just say she sit with me in the room or look tv hehe

I have no idea. I guess you can try that line of logic if you ever get busted and see how it works out.
