90 day reports(retirement visa holder)

Featured Replies

Could anyone OFFICIALLY tell me about the new 90 day report procedure.

I tried to do my 90 day report in Samui as I always do. I was refused and told to go to the place where the visa extension was made. It was in Khon Kaen. so I had to do a 2600 km in a hurry to get the 90 day report done. I was told in Samui that this regulation came into effect about 3 weeks previously. Please could someone give me a government web site where this is shown. Thanks folks. What it means is that you cannot get your 90 day report done anywhere in Thailand, only in the place where the visa extension was issued.

Yours is the 3rd report of this happening in Samui and not the first for other offices.

The new rule has not been made public by immigration.

Apparently the rule change was to prevent reports being done at any immigration office if you are traveling around the country.

If you register your new address after moving you should be able to report at that office. It seems some offices are not applying this new rule correctly,

All I can suggest is to call 1178 or 1111 to try and sort it out.

Please let us know how you get on.

Looks like the best bet for OP is mailing in the 90-day report, keeping in mind the 15-day before due date requirement and the list of items to be included (well reported in TV).

If so you may be able to change your reporting place to Ko Samui by filing a change of address form to the Ko Samui immigration.

Ask them.

They may need confirmation of your new address also. (rent bill, electic bill.,etc.)

There is a standard form you can download and submit to change your reporting area if you move.

There have been other posts about this problem. Changing the address does not satisfy Samui immigration (and others).. They still insist it has to be done where the extension was done which for most people will be impossible because they no longer have an address where it was done.
