February 7, 201511 yr You need to show the full value of the condo in the transfer for the land transportation office . if condo value 3 million baht then need to show 3 million baht transfer.
February 7, 201511 yr Dear all, many thanks for all your posts - particularly the Fat Controller and MiKT. As I bank with Bangkok Bank I also spoke to their HO - foreign currency dept. They said I could bring in £ at their published TT rate less 500 baht OR transfer in Baht from a UK bank. In both cases they said they would issue the Foreign Exchange Transfer documents. The BB TT rate yesterday day was 49.17 which was very competitive against the UK interbank rate. For further information I use a Foreign Exchange specialist company. I transfer to them at no charge from my UK bank, agree a rate of exchange over the phone and they send to my BB branch for a charge of £6.50. So thanks again to all I think I've got a complete picture now. yes we figured already you were trying to push some rabid scam or other
February 8, 201511 yr such a palaver over a simple transaction all you need to do is transfer sterling to your designated account in Thailand.get a bankers draft from thai bank equivalent to price of condo give it to your solicitor doing the transfer of the chanote, should take a few hours with good solicitor,at your leisure get paperwork of your branch detailing amount of money brought in to country,so you can take same amount or transfer out if you decide to sell at later date, and move cash abroad.thats what I did when I bought condo 10 years ago.
