You can never apply for permanent residence. One for the many requirements is to be working and paying taxes in Thailand, and you don't.

    Thank you Maestro for your information. Even I am married to a Thai woman for 35 years, I am not eligable for PR because I am retired and do not work.

    I don't have a work permit or pay tax and as such I cannot get PR or Thai Nationality, even tho I been here nearly 30 years and married to a Thai for 20 of those!

    Thailand does not want immigrants! The government is very clear about this in writing and in action!
