BANGKOK: -- People can now call Bangkok authorities in the event of a fire through the |popular chat app Line via the user ID "praram199", Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office chief Pichai Kriangwattanasiri said yesterday.

The Line app account will be an additional channel for the public to alert the authority of a fire incident, besides the office's existing hotline 199, he added.

That will definitely be an effective addition, as they are chatting on their line app all day anyway.

Thai pin their hopes for a lifestyle, happiness, and social infrastructure on LINE. Line is the source of all Thai information, history, art, science, engineering, civics, and athletics. Thais receive their knowledge through LINE unlike the rest of the world.
