multi o visa loas from neighbouring country

Featured Replies

I entered on a 30 day exempt stamp, i have my son with me who is a Thai national but was born in the UK can I get a multi non o from a neighbouring country for being a father of a Thai national with only a copy of his Thai passport and a letter from his mother written in Thai giving me full custody of him

Thanks

You will not get a multiple entry non-o visa unless you are the legal father of your child by way of marriage or legitimization of your parenthood.

You can get a single entry non-o visa by showing their birth certificate and house book registry.

You can also get a 60 day extension of stay to visit your child with the same documents.

Yes me and his mother are still married but she is living in the UK he is not any house papers or anything coz he was born in the UK

Alls i have with me at the moment is his thai and british passport

A passport does not prove that you are his father. You need his birth certificate to do that.

The nearby locations will also want a copy of the house book registry which would mean it would need to be a Thai birth certificate..

He has a Thai birth certificate but its in the UK can get it sent to me, we left in a bit of a rush so i didnt really think about visas or anything

And i am pretty sure he is not on any house registry will have to ask my ex to be sure

You need to have it sent to you.

Where was his birth certificate issued? If at an embassy you would need to register him at an Amphe here to have his name entered on a house book.

You could try to get the single entry non-o with just his Thai passport and birth certificate without the house book. If you didn't get it you could get a tourist visa instead.

Yeah his birth certificate was issued at the Thai embassy in London, how do i get a house book for him?

You would need his birth certificate and possibly your marriage certificate. You would then need a Thai willing to have him entered on their house book go with you to an Amphoe to get it done.

Some Amphoes may not be familiar with doing it though because they have to request a Thai ID number be issued for him.

The only reports of anybody getting a multiple entry non-o based upon being the parent of a Thai in Savannakhet was for a unmarried person who had his child and their mother with them to prove the were living together as a family (de facto marriage).

You would probably be able get one in Penang but would need to show financial proof. Some reports of 200k being shown and otters with 400k baht.

You could get one based upon marriage in Savannakhet if you had your original marriage certificate and it your wife would send you signed and dated copies of her house book registry and ID card.
