junglechef Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Want to bring a big Persian rug (made in Persia not Thailand ) to be cleaned. It's not a very expensive family heirloom or anything but the dog did pee on it and we like it (and more w/o the dog's scent). Where can it bring it to be cleaned? Thanks, JC
crazygreg44 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I have never seen or heard of carpet cleaning services in Thailand, as Thais usually on't fuss around carpets in their homes. It is not part of the local culture. I bet the best you can do is do it yourself , spread the carpet outside on a flat surface (preferably concrete) and scrub it with a brush, using simple, mild odorless - or LUX - soap. Then rinse with water, scrub again and let it dry in the sun, no need to hang , just leave it open in the hot sun . . . will take only one day 2
Oscar2 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 if it's wool, get lanolin soap and do it yourself using the method posted above. if it's not wool, then probably any mild detergent. i've never seen carpet cleaning services in Thailand.
arunsakda Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 And what of dry cleaning of drapery? Now that the whole "Washy- Mashy" thing is over.. Will anybody come to pick up and deliver drapery for dry cleaning?
junglechef Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Washy Mashy was my clothes dry cleaner, anyone found a decent replacement?
