Recaptured grey wolf has died

CHIANG MAI: -- Hlong, the Canadian grey wolf that escaped from the Night Safari Zoo but was recaptured earlier this month, has died after being treated for pneumonia.

Supoj Methapiwat, director of the zoo's animal management office, said Hlong died suddenly last week, three days after returning from the animal hospital of Chiang Mai University's faculty of veterinary science.

The wolf's condition had been improving, prompting the zoo to plan to display it for a few days, he added.

Supoj said the zoo did not inform the public about its death at the time because it initially regarded it a normal occurrence and decided to wait for an autopsy result.

On the next Zoo Dinner Menu??? :o

It's probably already been wolfed down. (Sorry, groaner) :D

...growler, more like it. :o

On the upside, departed old Grayham will no longer be hounded by fond memories of frollicking with the furr-tile bitches he might have boned outside his prison.

I reckon it died from over-eating , I mean 200+ chickens, in just a month ? :o

Or can wolves catch bird-flu ??! :D

Possibly brought on by the beating he took when the locals caught him.
