Non-B Visa - 30 day extension at immigration?

Featured Replies

I have a 3 month Non-B Visa that expires in 1 week. Can I get a 30 day extension at my local immigration office?

I don't need the "Non-B" part extending, I have finished working here already, I just want to stay in Thailand for another month as a tourist.

Thank you.

The longest extension you can get is 7 days.

You could leave and re-enter the country to get a visa exempt entry. You would get 30 days by air or 15 days at a border crossing unless you are from a G7 country. If the entry did not give you enough time you could apply for a 30 day extension.

7 days might be enough for me.

My Non-B expires on February the 24th. Can I get the 7 day extension before February 24th?

Can I go to immigration today, or do I need to wait until Feb 24th?

You can go a few days before the 24th. You could go later this week.

Excellent - thanks ubonjoe.

Sorry, I forgot to ask - do I need any special documents for the 7 day extension? Or just my passport?

Just your passport and some copies of it and a completed application form.

I intended to visit immigration today, but I have the flu :(

My Non-B expires on the 24th February. Can I visit immigration on the 24th to get a 7 day extension?

Thank you.

Yes, no problem.
