Multiple Entry from London From Thailand?

Featured Replies

I know that it's possible to get a Multiple Entry Visa from the Thai Embassy in London VIA POST.

But is it possible to get one via post IF YOU'RE ALREADY IN THAILAND?

Therefore, post passport to the UK via FEDEX and they insert visa and send back?

Rather than having to leave Thailand to reapply in Malaysia etc?

Or is this 'dodgy?'

A risky strategy if you ask me. What are you going to do if you need to produce your passport here while it is winging its merry way to and from the UK and gathering dust on some shelf at the London Embassy in between times until someone there can be bothered to lift a finger and consider your visa application?

In particular, if you were stopped by the BIB and asked to produce your passport for their examination, you would probably find yourself in extremely deep doo-dah indeed!

In any event, I would have thought it highly unlikely that the London Embassy would be prepared to entertain a visa application submitted from a non-UK address even if the applicant was a UK national!

They won't do that ... few years back Hull would do this sort of thing but it is indeed dodgy & reason UK consulates not great on visa issue these days.

You would best look at obtaining a Multi O from likes of savanakhet ...

Simple answer

No

It is not legal to obtain a visa for Thailand while you are still here.

If you left the country and sent it off while in another country you might get away with it but not by sending it directly to the embassy. It would require a middleman in the UK to mail it in.

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

I think also there would be an issue with exit/entry stamps in your passport for Thailand. Ie, how would you initiate your multi entry if you are already in-country?

Trying to leave or enter the country with a visa issued while here is when people have been caught for doing it.

Some people have ended up being locked up for it on departure or denied entry and told to go back to their home country.
