Recommended Posts

Ok thanks. My friend who's on a B visa is changing to O and telling me I should do the same for security purpose ( Im married have a child and a 30year mortgage so I want to stay in thailand)

Ubon joe and Mario would you advice me to do the same? Or go for permanent residency directly? Cheers

It would be best to apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage (it is not a non-o visa) the next time your extension is due renewal.

Permanent residency or citizenship takes years to get approval. So be best change to the extension based upon marriage.

If its not a non O visa, how is it called?

Thanks

It's called an "Extension of Permission to Stay", based on your marriage, it is not a visa.
