Exit/Re-enter Suggestions? Non Imm. O

Featured Replies

I just discovered I am overstaying on my non immi O visa (marriage) by about 3 days. I assume I just have to leave and re-enter Thailand, as well as pay the overstay fine. Any suggestions as to economical way to leave Thailand? Living in Bang Na. Don't particularly want to risk life and limb in a minivan! I have my own reliable car.

Currently considering flying in and out of Singapore or Vietnam, but Vietnam would require overnight stay due to flight schedules. Very cheap though!

Thanks in advance.

You could apply for a 60 day extension, after paying 3 day overstay. Your wife would have to accompany you to immigration, with marriage papers, household registration/evidence of recidence and ID-card, next to your passport.

thanks for the reply.

I was under the impression that once you overstay you cannot apply for extension?

You can apply for an extension with a few days of overstay.

Thanks for the answers. Do I have to go to Chaengwattana to do this? I live in BangNa. So far I've never been to an immigration office in Thailand, so I am unfamiliar with the locations.

Forgive my ignorance... :)

If you have a Bangkok address you would do it at Chaeng Wattana.

If you have a Samut Prakan address you would do it at the immigration office there.
