Lite Beer
NLA chief defends the appointment of family membersBANGKOK: -- Pornpetch Vichitcholachai, president of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), said Friday that it was understandable that NLA members would want to appoint their spouses or relatives as aides or personal experts as these were the people they could trust.More than 50 NLA members have relatives working as salaried aides or experts.Pornpetch explained that there was no restriction on appointing family members as aides, provided the person did not have a criminal record.Asked if paying them a salary from taxpayers' money was appropriate, Pornpetch said the practice predates the assembly and was in line with regulations. Popular Post Anthony5
So as of 22 May 2014, all soldiers became political experts overnight, and at the same time their beach road watch selling family members became financial and economical advisers. And we have to take this happiness dude serious?

Popular Post thesetat2013
If this practice predates the assembly then it is time for change. Having family chosen for these jobs is prejudice and biased and instead of choosing someone educated or trained for this as well as creating a power base with which there are no checks or balances as to what they do while in office. A family member is not going to talk to an oversight committee about your wrongdoings at work. If P is serious about moving the country out of corruption this would be a good place to start. Ban jobs like this from family members. Edited February 27, 2015 by thesetat2013

I thought exactly that, should be prevented/ avoided by the new reforms? Now we have again a conglomerate from brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, children, step mothers, brothers in law. grandmamas, etc.on tax pays roll. This makes the process of reform unfortunately very implausible.
