Hello,

I've got 6 visa pages left on my current passport and I'm wondering how many pages are required for a university ED visa? I'll be flying home to my country in the next few months to obtain it there. The university said it will only require one page, but my friend has an ED visa that takes up 4 pages.Any help would be great!

Cheers.

A visa is a sticker that uses one page. Then an entry stamp.

If you are getting a single entry visa and then apply for a one year extension that would take less than a page.

If you were to get a multiple entry ED visa which requires leaving every 90 days that could consume a lot of pages if you enter a country that requires a visa for each entry.

No sure what your friend has done. Perhaps he is getting an extension stamp every 90 days because he is attending a language school.

Hi Joe,

I will be getting a single entry ED visa in my own country which doesn't require an entry stamp. My friend's passport has one "extention of stay permitted up to" stamp, and two stamps that say " non ED" and the other that says "non immigration visa" with a big "used" stamp on it.

Cheers

You get an entry/permitted to stay stamp every time you enter the country.

Unless for some reason you get another visa you could stay for 3 or 4 years without filling up your passport since you will just get an extension every year. You probably will get a re-entry permit if you want to travel that takes about a half page.

He apparently has gotten more than one visa and then extensions.
