Bangkok Airways is screwing-up on Udon Thani

Featured Replies

First they cancelled their afternoon flight, leaving Udon Thani around 3pm, was good timing to catch evening flight to the rest of the world without having to run between the two airports.

I decided to relax for 30h and booked a down town Bangkok hotel before heading to Swampy, booked a perfect timed flight out of UTH at 09.15, I live at 50kms from the airport, thus no early morning hassle and estimated hotel arriving around lunch time.

Got a mail informing me flight time change to 07.25, arriving BKK 08.40, will get me to my hotel around 10 am, probably to hear "your room is not ready sir" and requiring me to leave home at 05.30, no thanks.

I know it is not a big deal, but then I would never have booked a flight leaving Udon before 9 am.

Thus asked Bangkok Airways to change me onto Thai Smile leaving UTH 08.40, somewhat better, awaiting relpy from PG...

Their evening flight gets me into Swampy too late for early evening flights to Europe, I am not booking flights leaving BKK after midnight.

So that leaves me with Thai Smile or a taxi between the two airports for my next trips to Europe whistling.gif

Thai Smile has been doing that for a while. For US flights I have had to spend the night both directions.
