Whips want assemblymen to relieve their relatives from parliamentary jobs

Of course its gone on since the beginning of time in Thailand through all Govts, however those Govts did not come to power on the back of a Coup targeted at getting rid of the ills of society of corruption/nepotism/cronyism among others. For this reason alone it makes the whole thing farcical.

So when the issue is being addressed, it is farcical. That it has been common practice is your excuse for not commenting on earlier culprits? We are talking about assistants and advisers here, not Foreign Minister or PM.

The only reason it is being 'addressed' is because those outside of the NLA have raised it as an issue. Those inside the NLA obviously did not see any issue with it, which just goes to show their sincerity in 'reforming' the country.

As you seem to be doing on every thread today, this is not about previous Govt's its about whats happening now. Everyone's aware it has gone on in all Govt institutions for decades, but that is not what this topic is about however much you want to try and deflect it away from the current.

Are you bored today Halloween? You're defending this to the hilt it seems despite the fact it's an abuse of power?

Well done to the NLA for stopping the rot, nobody wants to see a repeat of the PTP nepotism do they?

Maybe the NLA is just testing a "draft" Family Full Employment Bill...first see if it works within the NLA by hiring family members; if it does, pass it into law.

Nepotism is so ingrained in the culture that those assembly members never contemplated the optics of their decision to put their familes on the government payroll. For those that don't comply, name and shame them in public. Public shame (loss of face) can be a powerful tool in Thailand although there are some who do not know what shame is (Chalerm/Suthep/Thaksin).

This problem is not unique to Thailand it is every where.
