camac Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I need some help , I have a Gay friend who wants to arrange a commitment ceremony with his Thai partner in the Bangkok area . He wants to keep it very low key with just a few close friends. He wishes to hold the ceremony about 4pm on 28th March What I need help with is finding a Celebrant to conduct the ceremony. Any help would be gratefully received
onthemoon Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hm, if he wants to keep it low key, why do you publish time and place in an open forum?
Scott Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Bangkok area is a pretty large location if you are a wedding crasher!
onthemoon Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I thought the OP mentioned a Wat - must have been the beer. My suggestion: Go to a Wat and ask the abbot for a Master of Ceremonies - better yet, leave it up to the Thai fiance of your friend. Let the Thais arrange a wedding ceremony in Thailand, they can do it better anyway.
Keesters Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 It may help if you give some more info about the kind of celebrant you're looking for. A Christian minister who can give a blessing, a Thai monk who does whatever they do. Gay or just sympathetic to gays. Hard for people to give help if they don't know the requirements.
