I plan on starting a new job in a few months but I'm not sure if I've got enough pages left in my passport.

After an unexpected re-entry stamp (it was my first time) which took up half a page, I've now got 3 fully blank pages left. I'm going back to the UK for 2 weeks soon so will need entry / exit stamps either end. Then I need 2 full pages for the LAO / Thai visas plus associated stamps.

I'll likely have no space left after coming back from the visa run so will I be able to extend the TR by 30 days if I don't receive the new passport in time? Could I even convert the TR to a B visa at immigration, which would give me more time?

Cheers

Thank you very much, I didn't know you could get it that fast. I'll have to go for the same day service I think as I'm only home for 9 days. So there will be no problem with my extension / re-entry permit in the old passport I take it?

At the airport coming back you show both passports to immigration. They will stamp you in on the new passport and tell you to transfer the details from the old to the new passport at your local immigration office, if they don't do it on the spot.

For your local immigration office you need to fill in a form and take photo copies of both old and new passport and arrival card with you. You might also need a letter from the embassy, about you having a new passport. The embassy will know what is required and issue one. But with a tourist visa they will probably take care of it at the airport.
