Emirates Airline upbeat over Bangkok operations

I used to be a huge fan, but now I can't stand them. Their 777 economy cabin is such a truly miserable experience, it is no wonder sales are down. Passengers jammed in like sardines on narrow seats that feel like two planks clumsily nailed together... Man, give me third class on SRT trains without the award winning food and entertainment any day of the week...

So how is this news that would interest TVF members?

This is about flights in/out of Bangkok, maybe time to swat up on your geography...

I know where I am and I know an advertisement when I see one....and 3rd rate journalism for that matter. biggrin.png

One thing I wonder about is what these oil rich countries charge their airlines jet fuel and what they require the Foreign Carriers when they fuel there. I am not sure it is a "Level Playing Field". I imagine they also "Tanker" fuel so they do not have to buy much in other countries.

One of the highest cost of operation is fuel, even before payroll.

Yes, I am an "ole air line guy" so I wonder about such things as CPRSM, (Cost per revenue seat mile).
