Jamie Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Hi everyone... I am planning on coming to Thailand next year (earlier part of the year) but am having trouble finding some good deals. Since I am located in the central part of the US, my only real option is North West Airlines. I've tried Orbitz but most prices are over $1300 for only a few days and this doesn't include hotel. I've tried North West's vacation planner and depending on what day I leave, the cost is between $1300 to $2500. These prices do include hotel. Would I be better off going through a travel agent? I can generally get halfway decent prices for flights to Europe, but Thailand and Asia in general are high. Jamie
jdinasia Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 If you are coming during high season then ticket prices will be high! You may look at a budget carrier to LAX or SFO and then China Air or EVA. Also look in your local newspaper (or that of the closest MAJOR city) and look for the bucket-shops/consolidators operating there. A cautionary note --- if you do pick this option please check with the local BBB and pick one that has been operating more than a couple of years!
