March 5, 201511 yr I have to make a new passport because my passport will be expired soon also with my extension of temporary stay(non ed )will be expired soon , I'd like to know if I can transfer my non ed visa and make a new extension of temporary stay after making new passport.Thank you.
March 5, 201511 yr "Visas" are never transferred. However, when you receive the new passport the immigration offices at your local immigration office will "transfer" any relevant information to the new passport. A new extension of stay should be possible with correct paperwork supplied by your school.
March 5, 201511 yr they wont transfer a visa. or i should say they didnt for me read answer above. It's physically impossible to transfer a visa.
March 5, 201511 yr <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> Can I continue my old non ed visa? It is extremely unlikely that you have a valid ED visa. What you have (check the passport) is an "extension of permission to stay"
March 5, 201511 yr What do you have? - If you have a multiple non-ED-visa (and thus leave the country every 90 days) you can continue to use the visa in the old passport and get the entry/exit stamps in the new passport. - If you have an extension of stay from immigration in Thailand, you can get those in the new passport. But once you have the new passport you must go to immigration to have the details transferred from old to new passport. That requires a form, a copy of both old and new passport and your departure card as well as a letter from your embassy concerning your new passport.
March 5, 201511 yr I am certain you visa expired long ago. Immigration will do a stamp with info about the visa you used for entry to the country that gave you the 90 day permit to stay that you have been extending.
