Alfonso Scarano and TPO together explore the musical extremes of passion, despair, love and death. Perhaps the most powerful artistic expression of unrequited love, Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique is a dark, vivid fantasy inspired by the woman who would eventually become his wife.
