90 day reporting by post, no receipt

Featured Replies

My 90 day report was due by the 12th March, sent off a postal report which was received by Immigration on 25 Feb, but I haven't had a response yet.

Not normally concerned, sometimes they respond promptly and sometimes not so, but I'm going to extend my stay based on retirement next week and I don't want any arguments.

I have the EMS receipt and the evidence of delivery, maybe I'll take them with me.

It'll probably come today.

If you don't have your receipt by the day you go to do your extension take the a copy of the tracking info with you to prove your report was delivered. That should take care of any problem and they should give a new receipt.

For what it is worth. I did send my 90 day report 20th february, It was received at Khon Kaen Immigration at 23rd february and i did get it back this saturday 14th of march. Last time, I did get it back in totally 5 days from when it was sent.....

So dont worry It will be OK, like Ubonjoe says, bring your receipt and you will be just fine...

If you look at the instructions from migration they ask you to wait for one month. Mine have been late twice now, and the first time I called 1111 and they simply told me to wait.

Don't worry. it will most certain show up.

From immigration instructions:

"Notice :

- Your registered mail must be sent to the Immigration office at least 15 days before the due date of notification.
- Your new form will be stamped as of the expiration date of your old receipt.
- Please keep your receipt of your registered mail in case of lost mail.
- Your document can not be processed if you have passed the 90 days limit. ( You must come to the nearest immigration office or Immigration Division 1 in person to pay fine 2,000 Baht)
- Waiting for reply mail over 1 month, please contact Immigration Office with your registered mail receipt.

Panic over, it arrived today, dated 13 March.

I wish I wasn't such a worrier.

One thing new is that they stapled on a note advising that the original report receipt must be returned with the next report, and they didn't return the passport copies this time, they've always done so before - more paper wasted next time.

By the way, thanks for the reassurances.

Good to hear.

Yes you need to send in the Original, not a copy, and for me they have always kept the Passport copies.
