What's the latest on getting tourist visas in KL?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm just finishing up a double entry tourist visa that I got in Savannakhet.

I'm now living in Phuket, so it seems like it's cheaper to go to Malaysia (KL specifically).

I plan on being in Thailand for another 3 months before I go home, so I need to get another tourist visa.

What's the latest on the consulate in KL?

I read some mixed reports, but the threads were a couple years old.

Anyone been there recently?

Easy enough to get a tourist visa there?

Thanks in advance.

Not a popular spot to get visas?

From Phuket the usual visa destination is Penang.

KL has become unpredictable as to what they require to get visas.

For a tourist visa you might be asked to show financial proof that only a Malaysian can supply. That has happened to a few people.
