Two men sentenced for Bangkok courthouse blast

Featured Replies

The whole case (including the nurse) stinks to high heaven.

If she was charged with terrorism...why not just say so?

"No...we don't have her!"

  • This sentence is an outrage. Five months! How about ten years. The potential for personal injury was enormous, not to mention the need for a deterrent. An interesting contrast to the sentences handed

  • The charges and sentence may be a reflection for the cooperation of the 2 convicted.

Sentenced already? Some people get sentenced quickly and some people don't.

Five months.....................cheesy.gif

Perhaps a little research will overcome your abysmal ignorance. During the arrest, there was a gunfight, both were knocked from their motorcycle by a police(?) car, and one was shot 4 times. Is this how you treat your friends? Perhaps it was all faked, a giant conspiracy involving RTA, BIB and hospital staff?

Or are you speculating without knowledge?

BTW the offenders have stated that they did it for the money.

So lets see they did it for the money (same as hitmen do), they throw grenades, they shot at police/military and they get 5 months? Never thought of the general as being a panzy.... I am speculating because 5 months does not make sense. Insurrection in Thailand is punishable by death, anything less is being lenient.... many people in prison in Thailand for more than 5 months for doing relatively little in comparison.

The topic with the AFP article starts with

"Two Thai men were handed five-month jail sentences Tuesday for their alleged involvement in a grenade attack outside a criminal court in Bangkok this month."

Assuming no one gets sentenced for 'alleged involvement' some details seem missing in the article.

Normal standard of AFP reporting.

More interested in getting plugs in for those nice Shin siblings.

Poor communication, Thai readiness to deny and lie if they don't know the answer. Or maybe they're learning not to say things until they're good and ready - like police and security services in other countries do.

Now we have to see the evidence presented, the verdicts and judgement and the sentences of all the different charges and cases of all those involved.

Rather than accept the false flag, constant denials conspiracy propaganda theories spouted by political activists (many of whom a proven liars) with a vested interest in portraying things to suit their own agenda - who never offer one shred of evidence or proof that actually supports their claims.

and we see the nurse that "disappeared" has been charged with terrorism, guess we know now why she was taken away, cant wait to see all those accusing the govt of trying to silence her pull their feet out of their mouths, well boys, any of you have the balls to admit you were wrong, doubt it.

and we see the morons are out in force. she was prepared to be a witness for a case that has never even put on a trial docket, and 'abracadabra" -- the witness is a criminal....

they snatched her, denied it while adjusting her attitude about being a witness to 2010 army atrocities, and then smeared her with charges to politically neutralize her.

a volunteer nurse terrorist -- really? a volunteer nurse terrorist? what a gullible self-righteous prig you are!

and don't call anyone a boy here. we were men before you were wanking.

There are three points to be made here, especially for the conspiracy theorists.

1. The charge was for contempt of court - similar to the charge that Thaksin's lawyers faced in the notorious lunchbox attempted brobery - and these two got a similar sentence.

2. There are more serious charges pending.

3. As they pleaded guilty to the contempt charge, the courts tend to get these easy cases out of the way quickly.

So doctors and nurses can't be terrorists or murderers?

It's you whose self righteous and pompous expecting every one to be gullible enough to believe anything coming from the mouths of Shin supporters.

Attitude adjustment - yeah, really shows with her luck of defiance, hatred and three fingered salute.

Actually throw a grenade in a terrorist attack and get 5 months jail.

Pick wild mushrooms in a National Park.....15 years!

It's probably too early with enough obfuscation possible and denial of any involvement in bombing or other violence, but soon we'll get posters to write that the nurse witnessed a massacre and slaughter and that's why she joined the bombers.

At least that would be the normal sequence here.
