30 Day extension of tourist visa- any office?

Featured Replies

I am currently staying in Bangkok on a 60 day tourist visa, and would like to extend it for 30 days.

Do I need to go to Chaeng Wattana for this, or could I do at any immigration office?

I am thinking that a trip to immigration in Pathum Thani or Samut Prakan would be quicker and less painful that the long queue at Chaeng Wattana.

Thnaks in advance.

You can do it at any immigration office. But you need an address on the TM7 application form that is within their area of responsibility. Some offices may ask for proof of that address. A hotel receipt would be accepted.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Looks like I'm off to Chaeng Wattana.

Can somebody go for you to extend your tourist visa for 30 days? Staying at a friends house so how can I prove the address? And finally is immigration open on the weekend?

You have to do the extension yourself.

Just get a note from your friend stating you are staying at their house. You may not need the address proof at most immigration offices.

Immigration is not open on weekends.

Spot on. Thanks again ubonjoe. What time does it open and close?

Immigration is open from 08:30 to 16:30.
