Grace period for 90 days reporting

Featured Replies

My next 90 days report is due on March 25. But I am flying out on March 29.

Is it really necessary to visit immigration on March 25, or will it be alright to skip it and be 4 days overdue when I leave the country on the 29th?

There used to be a grace period of 7 days for late reporting without having to pay a penalty, but I am not sure if it's still handled that way.

Can anyone provide some insight, please? I'm in Bangkok, by the way.

There is no "Grace" period just a window of time during which a 90 report can be made.

This time window extends from 15 days prior to 7 days after the 90 report is due.

A 90 report due on March 25 should be made.

The 7 days after the report date is only for doing the report. Leaving the country does not equate to doing a report. You need to do your report before leaving the country.

You can also do your report up to 15 days early.

Thanks for your answers, guys.

Can I do it at the airport on the 29th, i.e. 4 days late?

You cannot do a 90 day report at the airport. You can only do your report to your local immigration office.

To all others, don't push the 7 day late date. On my last 90 day, I interpreted the date to be on time, Thai immigration interpreted it to be late 8 days. result? I was out several thousand baht. Do it early, not late.

Just an FYI

You have to include the date the report is due in the 7 days when you count it, Apparently you started the 7 days the day after the report was due.

The normal fine is 2000 baht. But they can fine you up to the max fine of 5000 baht.
