Kanga Japan
Dear curtklay, Thank you for your information. I've never heard of 'saleeum', but I have heard of 'sadao'. The bark and the flower sections of the plant in the photo certainly look to me like 'sadao', but I am wondering about the leaves. From checking, it seems that the leaves of the sadao plant are serrated, however most of the leaves in the photo aren't. It could be that a couple of plants have been placed together and the sadao leaves aren't visible. Thanks again for the information.

In thai it's pronounced "Gadow or kadow" it may be a local thing to your area to pronounce it with an "s"
Kanga Japan
Dear billphillips, Thanks for your reply. After researching, I found that this plant/tree (Neem tree in English) is called SADAO in Thai and KADAO in Laos.
