Plastic plates!,what you thinking.

regards Worgeordie

The only proper food group that is missing is the cold beer, but perhaps that was out of camera shot.

Fries look okay but not enough!

Chicken looks overcooked and the cheese looks like it came out of one of those squeegee bottles.

MY overall conclusion is YUK!

Take the chicken fillet and skin it.

Pound it into a thin fillet, put a piece of ham on it followed by some cheese.

I prefer either Swiss, Edam or guyere.

Roll it tightly in some cling film and tie the ends.

Put it in a plastic bag removing all of the air that you can and drop it in your hot pot.

Cook for about 40 minutes.

Remove it and brown it it some butter.

Serve it with some cauliflower with cheese sauce and some home-made hollandaise sauce and a cold one.

Now you're talking delicious!

I have to agree with last poster. overcooked, cant call that stuff cheese, not enough fries

Hi Wayne,

I've always wondered about using cling film to cook chicken like that.

Can you use any old cling film or does it have to be food grade cling film to withstand the high temperature?

I use regular cling film, but I also put it in a zip lock ore regular plastic bag and try to remove all of the air.

I then attach it with a rubber band to the down spout in my "hot pot".

The water never actually boils and I have never had a problem.

I cook boy h chicken , fish and shrimp this way.

Thanks. Was just worried about the plastic maybe melting lol

I guess you might get some plasticizer leeching from the plastic to the food also, but if you don't cook too often that way, you should be alright.

I saw a nice chicken ballotine recipe I want to try that requires trussing with cling film so may give it a go.
