Tourist Visa Extension

Featured Replies

I entered Thailand a few weeks ago on a regular 30 day visa on arrival with all expectations of leaving this weekend keeping me within the 30 day limit. However, circumstances have changed and I will now not be leaving until 2 days after the 30 day period has expired. Is it possible in Pattaya to get a 3 day extension, or am I going to have to leave the country and come back again. Also, does this affect my eligibility to return to Thailand in 4 months time?

Thanks in advance for any help you may have to offer.

You will even get a 30 day extension.

It will not be a problem returning after a few months.

You got a 30 visa exempt entry not a visa on arrival. Visas on arrival are only for 15 days and are only for those from certain countries.

You can apply for a 30 day extension at the immigration office in Jomtien for a fee of 1900 baht.

It will not effect returning in any way since you will be away for 4 months.

Hi ubonjoe

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if I need to bring any supporting documentation other than my passport and how long does the process take?

Documents you need are:

- passport and departure card and copy of those

- pass photo

- 1,900 baht

- form you must fill in

The extension is given on the spot, how long it takes depend on the que in front of you.
