I searched the forum and couldn't find this question covered before, although I can't believe it hasn't been raised before.

So, here it is. I am a farang with a Thai retirement visa in good standing. I have an African girlfriend. We were able to get her a 60-day visa and then extended it another 30 days. We have been out of Thailand for about a month but want to return to live in Thailand.

Is it possible, if we were married, that she could be given some sort of a long-term visa, as the wife of a retirement-visa holder?

do you have an extension of stay based on retirement, if so after marriage she could get a dependants extension.

It all depends if you have an Extension of Stay or a Visa.

If you have an extension she would be able to get the same 12 month Extension.

If you have a visa she cannot.

What do you have?
