Dear all,

is it possible to a apply for a non-immigrant B if one has a tourist stamp (20+ days left), or is a tourist visa necessary?

Thanks in advance.

It is difficult, in practice, to convert a visa exempt entry to non-immigrant for reason of employments.

What most people does is to leave country and get the non-imm B in a nearby country.

It is possible as long as you have 15 days remaining on your entry and a thick stack of documents including a work permit application approval letter.
