Could someone be kind enough to clarify a 90 days reporting issue.

Featured Replies

I am not clear about a reporting issue. Please let me use an example, as it seems the easiest way to explain my question;

I go to Soi 5 Jomtien January 2, 2015 and do my 90 days OA reporting as a retired resident.

My next reporting obligation is prior April 2, 2015 (90 days).

If I leave Thailand and go to Cambodia or Singapore on March 2, 2015 and return March 10, 2015 (I have a multi Entry Visa);

Is my next reporting obligation still April 2, 2015?

Or the fact that I left Thailand and returned on March 10, 2015 reset my reporting obligation to June 10, 2015 (90 days from day of re-entry into Thailand).

In other words, does the fact of leaving the country reset your reporting obligation to your re entry date, or are you still under under the obligation to report based on your last visit to the immigration office?

Thank you for your help.

You do not need to do a report of staying in the the country for more than 90 days if you do not stay here that long.

Your next report will be due 90 days from the you you entered the country including that date in the count.

whistling.gif Your 90 day reporting is reset as of the day you re-enter........ that is considered as day one..... so count 89 days from then and that is the new day of 90 day reporting.

As you have a multi entry VISA you shouldn't have to worry....but remember that if you are on a retirement EXTENSION from your local immigration you need to get a re-entry permit before you travel,and enter that number in your arrival card as you re-enter Thailand (where it asks for your visa number on the arrival card).

Your retirement extension would be then kept valid and a new 90 day reporting count is re-started from your day of arrival back in country.

But I guess you already know that.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to straighten me up. It is appreciated and not taken for granted.

Also I was unaware that I needed to enter the multiple entry visa number in my declaration card.

Best.
