"An empty Airbus plane was dispatched to Paris to replace the damaged plane.

Transport Minister Prajin Juntong blamed the incident on the airport contractor responsible for the truck."

That's going to cost somebody.

As for the "tasteless pineapple" comment:

The airline announced it had set up a special committee to revamp its menu after junta chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha complained about having to eat some nasty pineapple on the national carrier.

That thousands of passengers had complained before, was of course ignored> But when Mr P opened his gob...........

@ commerce. We posted at the same time. At your service Sir!!

The PM complains about tasteless pineapple so THAI sets up a special menu committee.

Meanwhile he's having to use Art 44 to get the Dept of Civil Aviation to do it's job not just properly but at all.

Are you under the impression the plane was trying to mount the food truck?

Are you aware that TG are 100% not at fault here? TG have suffered some bad luck which will cause a lot of inconvience for many passengers through no fault of their own. This type of thing happens to all airlines all over the world. There's no need for press releases for this kind of incident.

I worked for an airline for 35 yrs and was a food truck driver for some of them. These incidents happen occasionaly and normaly is not a big problem and is fixed with no problem so as you say there is no need for all the bad press.

Get off their backs. This accident had nothing to do with lack of care by Thai.

It was a disgruntled "frog food transport truck driver"

The OP is very correct, you guys would bag the hell outa Thai if they had damaged an Air France plane.

Grow up

And you didn't just bag the hell out of a dig at the French using the 'frog' word?

Piss off!

As a matter of interest, how does a hole like that in an aircraft get repaired?

A flush 'patch repair' that will ensure the smooth flow of air especially as the damage is on the leading edge
