Hi fellow members

I have a double entry 60 day visa with one entry used.

On mt return to Thailand is it possible to get a 30 day visa exempt and

use the 60 day visa later

Thanks in advance

It's actually up to the immigration officer when you enter, but, most likely he/she will use the second entry and not give you a visa exempt entry. In addition, make sure that you use the second entry on/before the must enter date printed on the visa as that ids when it expires.

Just use the tourist visa entry and then if you want to leave and re-enter the country during the 60 days you can get a re-entry permit to keep the remainder of the 60 days when you re- enter the country.

As said you must pay close attention to the enter before date on your visa. You must use both entries before that date.

I will give it a try and if no luck.

I can use a reentry as ubonjoe has suggested.

.

Many thanks for your advice in this matter.

Just activated my second entry on my tourist visa. Ran pretty smoothy, but just wanted to ask is it the norm to be charged 100 baht to get the exit stamp from Cambodia. Immigration officers words 'you have to stay in cambodia for 7 days or pay 100 baht to exit'. Seems like an obvious scam..

In reality there is a requirement to stay 24 hours or more. But it is not normally enforced.

You got by cheap most crossings have been reported as wanting 300 baht.

100 Btt is a great deal, they usually try for 300, plus charging Bt 1,500 the visa, etc.
