Within three hours substances will be collected and analyzed. The Teams are on stand-by in Bangkok and its vicinity, to give assistance when called on by the Provincial Branches of the Ministry of Industry. Information about proper machinery and chemical use will also be provided, as well as a survey of the operational plant to prevent a possible fire incident in the future. The Department has warned factories of fire danger and has asked for cooperation to install fire prevention systems according to the Announcement on Fire Prevention and Discontinuance in Plants, implemented by the Ministry of Industry in 1999.The Announcement contains three main points: automatic fire-prevention devices and fire alarm installations are required in those areas which have no regular human workforce, and where flammable objects are kept (1,000 sqm. onward) as well as an installation of alarms in spaces over 14-square-meters where flammable materials are stored.-- NNT 2015-04-09
