It's only a 500 THB/day problem, so make sure you have the extra cash on you!

Hi, when you go to the airport you check in then head for overstay. Here you will be fined 500 baht for every day over, not sure if the first overstay day is free or not. You get a little stamp and thats it. BE AWARE THOUGH!!!!!!

If you are stopped by the police or immigration before you get to the airport you can be arrested and held by immigration before being deproted. A small risk I know but something to bear in mind. When I last flew out I had 15 days overstay due to illness and no ferry due to bad weather. Dont worry. Dunc

Best to go to any immigration and get a one week extension.

Little bit more expensive but safer.

Thanks for the info

personally I'd go to Immigration with my onward ticket and get the extension if you are actually on a tourist visa (60 day) rather than risk an abrupt end to the fun on the very rare/unlikely event you get stopped before leaving ... plus it keeps an overstay from appearing in your passport

Do not overstay your visa.

Get the extension.
