You mean they're not interested in old white guy music?

I wonder why.

There is music and there is noise. Music is played by musicians playing instruments, it can have a rotten melody, sung by a rotten singer.

but if it is played by musical instruments, then it is music.

On the other hand, if it is created by people on a computer, what I mean is computerised crap, then it is noise, you may like it, that's fine, but

it is still noise.

Age, (old white guy music) has nothing to do with it. A lot of your "old white guys" like rock music, I don't, but it is still music, a lot of times played

by musicians of good quality.

I suspect you are turned on by computerised crap, but, each to his own.

Sorry, but that's complete bullshit. Music is music, however it's made. Regardless of it's origins or genre, some of it is good, some isn't.

Your parents generation probably regarded the music you like as 'noise'. They were wrong too.

Carly Rae Jepson, Jimmy Fallon, and The Roots perform Call Me Maybe......using classroom instruments (love the Fisher Price kindergarten xylophone.) Classic.

Music is music, so these guys making up various sounds on computers are musicians???? What sort of bullshit is that?? My parents generation still regarded the "noise" I listened to as music, as it was not put together on computers. Music, musicians, instruments, guitar, piano, saxophone etc, that is what makes music, some we like, some we don't. If you like what comes out of computers, that is fine, but it is not music.

Unless you are watching your "real" music live you might be shocked to know it relies heavily on computers to get it out to the public, i guess it then becomes (in your eyes) not real music..........

Quite. A computer is just another tool musicians can use. Previous generations of luddites complained that the multitrack tape recorder was an abomination and only a 'live' recording was real music. Or that recordings were artificial in any case and that only live performances counted. Or that amplification was wrong and that only acoustic instruments were real music. Or that the piano was new-fangled nonsense and only the harpsichord was appropriate to accompany real musicians.

Regardless of such silly people, musicians can and do use any tool they can get their hands on to make music, and computers have been part of that arsenal for a good 40 years at least.

really OP, you are either a troll or incredibly ignorant. just because you dont speak issan language or appreciate issan music does not make it isaan gibberish yap yap music and doof doof crap

take some time to appreciate or at least tolerate other cultures, languages and ways. if you are unable to do this i suggest you stay at home.

travel will only frustrate, confuse and annoy you.

I think any place that has tourists needs to play music that the customers like.....otherwise they vote with their feet !

I wonder who pays the idiot DJs to play shit music so loud , if your customer base is 20 year olds than play the techno stuff for them

but 40-50 year olds do not want to listen to that......

But whatever music it needs to be at a volume that you can talk to someone or yourself :)

The DJs are normally you Thai guys so someone needs to tell them what to play.......and I am sure they do not have it and will need to download it .....

Maybe you should try not to be such an obvious Aussie bogan,as i would say your ranting is embarrasment to many Aussie expats, who seem to suffer none of your outrages,if you don't like stay in Boganville.

1.Is it just me or do all Thai folk songs sound alike?

2.Why don't Taxi drivers switch to a channel that plays Western music?

So, for example, is this music?

No. it sounds more like just noise to me, no melody at all, but each to his own.

i met a mamasan who listened to CCR once.

She should have listened to them a few more times. She might have come to like them.

Interesting. I thought you liked real instruments.

I guess I am too old to enjoy a headache just from listening to music , and much more music I think is just noise !

But I do not need to understand it to like it....

I think the bars need to play girl group Kpop, Jpop , and some ThaiPop ,

it is a nice bouncy sound , nice bouncy girls :) , a few English words and great / expensive to make videos

I enjoy it because it is NOT in english , the few translations I have seen are just the normal teen girl whining !
