PRIVATE DRIVER TO IMPACT ARENA

Featured Replies

Need transport to from Impact Arena before after events- to Sukhumvit .Anyone have contact details for a private driver-UBER and AOT not an option-

Thanks in advance-

There are private cars with drivers for hire parked in front of the Grace hotel and Amari Blvd. pretty much all the time. I've actually used them a couple of times but, unfortunately, didn't keep any contact nos. In fact, I am guessing all major hotels will have a few on call for guests. Give a couple of hotel travel desks a call. Travel agents too should be able to get you one.

Another option would be to just ask any taxi driver for the number of a private car for hire. There should be one in their know.

I don't know which events you have in mind but if they are as busy as the motor show there, you might want to ask in advance whether the driver knows the back route to the venue rather than the signposted route which everyone follows as its still a two hour wait when you exit the expressway at Chaengwattana if they don't. At the motorshow last year I even saw a family fighting as they were so fed up at the traffic and only spent nine minutes at the show if you can believe that.

Or you could just stay at Novotel Impact Bangkok. A good hotel, particularly on the premium floors.

We took the little one to see Disney on ice. Left home at 4pm with a plan of eating before the show at 7pm. Nightmare journey arrived, stressed out, at 6.55 just in time. Journey home took 40 mins including getting out of the car park. So advice is you need to allow plenty of time
