i am sure their are such programs available whether or not it will be wise to suggest to her that she is lacking in such skills

might not be a wise move

but moving on at a guess anything like that requires commitment something i have experienced is that this is the biggest hurdle , alongside that

unless you can convince her that the whole idea was hers in the first place i would dare to say you are on a looser whistling.gif

My girlfriend took classes in dressmaking 12 years ago when we first moved to Chiang Mai. It was very cheap and she enjoyed it very much, made some friends and it was useful.

Go for it... but it needs to seem like it's her idea, or she may resent you trying to plan her life!

I think it's Soi 25 in Nakula there is a ladies center where they can learn English or Massage or German or Computer.....and it's free. I have been to it, a Nun friend of mine was showing me around. I really think it's a sort of re-education programme for Ex Bar Girls, but not certain. Maybe not what your looking for but just thought I'd mention it anyway, never know....others might like to know about it. It's really a great place.

Where do you find these women who know nothing and don't want to do anything?

Well, if you have to ask the question then you probably aren't the brightest light in the night sky yourself..coffee1.gif

Mine did classes in English and then in making clothes.

She still attends a school for dressmaking, which is also like a socialising time for her, and does some clothes making at home. Sadly this cost me a sewing machine! She also does voluntary work at the school now. Obviously a job would be a better option but part-time was not available, there are age limits in many positions, and to be honest the salary and working hours were far from worth it.

The 'Fountain of Life 'is a Catholic charity, but does not push religion and offers many courses for women...Naklua Soi 25 I believe.
