Samsung phone camera brightness

Featured Replies

Call me stupid butt when taking a picture on a samsung phone like a note 3 how to make it lighter or darker? Is there an easy way?

Screen Brightness, or Compensation Settings?

Smartphones usually have a SCENE MODE setting to set how it handles image exposure.

On my android phone I can also use "Select Auto Exposure" and can select "Frame Average", "Center Weighted", or "Spot Metering" ... and then where the exposure should be taken by taping the area of the screen I want the camera to use for the exposure adjustment, and the camera software will allow areas go dark, or areas be 'blown out' white so the area of interest will be captured properly.

There are also other "settings" you can adjust that allow you to remember to underexpose or overexpose all your shots.

Otherwise, everything is handled in post processing (image editing applications).
