ED-Visa is about to expire on 4/29

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a multi-entry ED-VISA (from US) that will expire on 4/29. I flew out Thailand and planning to come back before 4/29. The immigration guy at the airport said that my ED-VISA will expire when I come back even before the expiration date. And I would have to do a re-entry. Is this true? My plan was to come back before it expires so I can get a 90-day extension on the ED-VISA. Once that's over I would do the regular tourist VISA run.

Thanks

The officer was wrong.

As long as you enter on or before the enter before date (4/29 ?) on your visa you will get another 90 day entry (not an extension).
