Current best embassy for me Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Canadian looking to get a multi-entry tourist visa on May 7th. I left Thailand last year right when all the rules seemed to be changing and recently returned. Would like to fly out and back into Thailand as cheap and fast as possible. Any suggestions on which countries/embassies are my best bet? Anyone with recent (as in the last month or two) experience? Thanks smile.png

How many entries do you want on your tourist visa there in no multiple entry one. You can get 1, 2 or 3 entry visas.

You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos.

You can get a 3 entry visa in Bali by showing tickets out of the country for each entry up to 90 days apart.

There are no "multi-entry" tourist visas .

Tourist visas are issued by number of entries 1,2,or 3 entries.

What are you seeking ?

The availability of 2-3 entry visas is limited within the region.

Multi meaning 2 or 3 (as in more than one). I am happy with either 2 or 3 but prefer 3. I obtained a triple entry in Bali about 20 months ago but had to show my outbound flights from Thailand.

If you are more to the North of Th then Vientiane (even double tourist visa) or Savanaketh = Laos

More to the South of Th then Penang (only single t. visa. = Malaysia.

Cambojdia are Mianmare, I dont know

If you want a triple entry visa then Bali is the place! The outbound fights will still be required !

If the reason for the multi entries is to extend your stay as long as possible then IMO the easiest option is to fly to Vientiane or Savannakhet, Laos and get a double entry tourist visa.

With a couple of 30 day extensions at immigration you can stay here for about 6 months for each double entry visa. Each six months you can apply for a new one. You should be able to get 3 or 4 of these visas before the embassy/consulate start asking too many questions, which means you could stay here 1 to 2 years on these tourist visas alone. Possibly longer if you rotate where you apply.

I don't know anything about triple entry visas from Bali, but it would appear pre-booked flights make applying there more of a pain.
